The Bavarian restaurant with a long history (founded in the 14th century) is really worth a visit. The restaurant is furnished in a modern Bavarian style, the menu combines tradition with internationality. Staff is friendly, prices are reasonable.

The service and the food were great. Despite the fact that the inn was very full, our 9 dishes came very quickly. Everything was delicious. I can absolutely recommend the pumpkin ravioli and the chocolate cake, but all meat dishes were also very good.

Great restaurant with a decent beer garden, beautifully renovated dining rooms in a rustic but cozy Upper Bavarian style. The staff masters their work & you can tell that a lot goes hand in hand here. The dishes are neat and reasonably priced. The drinks were great too. I will certainly stop by again

The food was great, the Tegernsee fresh from the wooden barrel too, of course, the service always friendly and on the ball. As the icing on the cake, there was room music 2 tables away during my visit. Excellent! ?

BBQ evening without a grill? That shows the respect for the guest. I also expect a fresh schnitzel and not a frozen product. Service very nice.

We stayed at Gasthof Herzog Maximilian last weekend. Nice reception from the landlady, very friendly service, delicious food at reasonable prices and you sit really comfortably in the outside area. Gladly again when we are in the area!

As an Australian couple coming to this restaurant we felt very uncomfortable. We were served after others who were seated well after we had been. When paying the bill we were provided with incorrect change and the waiter quickly disappeared. Do not recommend as a traveller. Ripped off.

A quaint and at the same time noble Bavarian inn with suitable menu. We are really excited that the building comes back to life and there is now a chic address more for good food in the Tegernsee valley. We are highly satisfied with food and service ... keep it up!

Very nice, traditional style but recently renovated Bavarian restaurant. Good service, classic food and lovely setting. Not a direct view of the lake but traditional feel and atmosphere! Not as crowded as many other venues at the lake.

Found this local restaurant by the lake serving good bavarian food. The crispy roast pork neck is recommended but the skin was a bit tough. Place was crowded with locals on Sat night. Good traditional decor and ambience. Staff was friendly.
